Experts advise against the use of unverified remedies against Covid-19
The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) advised, in the midst of the global health crisis, against the use of many drugs popularized in Latin America to deal with the Covid-19 disease, such as carbon dioxide chlorine, Ivermectin, Moringa tea, Ginger and Arsenicum album.
Vaccination plans in Latin America against Covid-19 are slow, but despite the fact that the cure for the virus is already real, among family members or groups of friends they continue to bet on other options to avoid getting infected.
The use of homemade and natural solutions against COVID-19
Chlorine dioxide (CIO2) is also called "miracle mineral solution" and is basically the mixture of sodium chlorite in distilled water with an acid that can be the juice of a lemon and that, when taken, becomes an oxidizing agent which apparently destroys bacteria and pathogens in the human body.
For its part, Ivermectin, is the antiparasitic whose effectiveness against Covid-19 has not been scientifically proven. This drug, which is used to treat parasite infections and even infestation of head, pubic and scabies lice, became popular in Latin America to treat the coronavirus.
But the truth is that, about Ivermectin, there is no conclusive evidence that allows us to take a step towards a more complete clinical studies as contemplated by experts in the area of health.
