They identify menstrual alterations caused by the vaccine against Covid-19

A study by the University of Granada determined that vaccines against Covid-19 did cause menstrual disturbances.

The EVA project

According to the study, through a project called EVA, it has been possible to identify slight alterations in the premenstrual and menstrual cycles of women as a consequence of the vaccines against Covid-19. 78% of the participants reported having perceived slight changes in premenstrual and menstrual symptoms after being vaccinated.

Sociodemographic and clinical data were also collected in this study, as well as the type of vaccine administered and the changes perceived in relation to cycle length, amount of bleeding, pain, presence of clots and symptoms before menstruation.

The researchers revealed that the women who reported alterations are in all cases over 35 years of age and in them the smoking habit predominates slightly more than in those consulted who reported not having noticed alterations.

Similarly, the most prevalent alterations in premenstrual symptoms were:

  • Greater tiredness (43%).
  • Abdominal distention (37%).
  • Irritability (29%).
  • Sadness (28%).
  • Headache (28%).
Likewise, during menstruation the most frequent alterations were:
  • Greater amount of bleeding (43%).
  • Pain (41%).
  • Delay in menstruation (38%).
  • Fewer days of bleeding (34.5%).

The EVA project was a response to assumptions that had already been made public in recent months and pointed to the possibility that this was one of the secondary effects of vaccination.
